Deal Festival turns 30

In August, Deal Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary. To celebrate, they’re making this year’s their best line-up yet.

The Deal Festival is a unique celebration of great classical and contemporary music from some of the world’s finest music-makers, as well as theatre, opera, cinema and dance – in the beautiful and historic surroundings of Deal and Dover on England’s south coast.

Deal Festival 2012 promises to be very special. Featuring international soloists and world-beating bands like Freddy Kempf and Lau; dynamic, innovative orchestras; leading and local chamber ensembles illuminating old and new works in totally compelling ways.

For opera, theatre and new music lovers there’s three totally entrancing yet contrasting garden settings.

Plus a very special treat as part of the Charles Dickens Bicentenary celebrations, Miriam Margolyes’ marvellous one woman show comes to the town that Dickens himself knew so well.

With so much going on, Deal Festival 2012 is set to be the perfect Summer party.
